CASTLE SIEGE


Castle Siege Basics


1) There is only one Castle in the Valley of Loren.
2) Move to Valley of Loren to Warp there.

Requirements For CS (Castle Siege)


1) All participating guilds must have a Guild Master that is at least Level 300.
2) All participating guilds must have at least 10 guild members with max resets.
3) Anyone in the Valley of Loren can join and Kill Any player they please.
4) If the guild that holds the castle disbands at anytime, they will forfeit the castle.
5) There can only be 3 attacking guilds during the event.
6) Any guild member should submit his Sign of Lord, the more the better.
You can only submit Signs of Lord only on Thursdays and Fridays. You can submit them by moving to Valley of Loren map and talking to an NPC called 'Guardsman'.
The 3 guilds with the most submitted Signs of Lord and most resets will be the 3 attacking teams. If there are more than 3 registered guilds, only 3 of them that submitted the most Signs of Lord and have most resets will play, the others will not.
7) Sign of Lord can be found in any map with monsters and mostly in Arena.


Here I will write how its considered which guilds will participate in the Castle Siege battle.
The 3 guilds with the most Total Points will be the 3 attacking teams.
If there are more than 3 registered guilds, only 3 of them that have the most Total Points will play, the others will not.

Computation of Total Points:
(Number of submitted Signs of Lord) + (Number of Guild Members Resets)

Maximum Sings of Lord a guild can submit: 100 (if a guild submits more than 100 Signs of Lord they will not count)

Siege Status:


1) Truce Period: Starts from the end of siege till the start of the next siege. Alliances can only be forged during this time! (Saturday after Siege end to Monday)
2) Siege Registration Announcement: Time for guilds to announce their intentions to attack the castle (Sunday ~ Wednesday)
3) Registration period: Time to compete for the top 3 slots for the siege by using Signs of Lord to enhance their ranking (Thursday ~ Friday)
4) Announcement of Qualified Guilds: Announces guilds that have been accepted into Castle Siege. (Friday ~ Saturday before Seige)
5) Seige Start: See last post about reading the board in order to find out the exact time for your time zone.

How to register for a siege


You can register in Castle Siege only from Sunday to Wednesday.

You have to move in ValleyOfLoren and go to coord: 151 19 and click on Guardsman NPC, then Announce tab and click on "Announce" button.

Qualified guilds registration will be accepted.

Only the guild master of the main alliance can announce intent to siege to the guardsman NPC.

Any guild members of the guilds that have announced intent to siege can submit a Sign of Lord during the registration period.

When the Guardsman NPC is clicked, the guild name and allied guilds names rankings will show on the registry.

When the Guardsman NPC is clicked Siege status information will be shown.

Only the top 3 guilds that submited most Signs of Lord and their allies will be given a priority for the siege.


Siege Battle Basics


When the the guild registration is complete, the invading team and their allies will have a weapon icon (depending on a team) and defending and their allies will have a shield icon.

1)PK does not apply to the guilds of the invading and defending teams.
2)The Alliance Masters (Invading/Defending) will have a crown mark on the top aswell as sword or shield mark.

Offensive Team:

 


The invading team will have a sword icon on top of character. (A red sword for invading team)

The guild master will have a crown icon instead of sword or shield.

Alliance character can attack while pressing CTRL, as well as certain AOE spells will cause damage to your own allie


Defending Team:

 


The defending team will have a shield on top of their character. (A Blue crown for defending team)

Alliance character can attack while pressing CTRL, as well as certain AOE spells will cause damage to your own allies.


3)Neutral characters will not be marked as attackers or defenders.
4)Guild registration/withdrawal during the battle is not allowed.

Siege Controls



1) Characters can attack without pressing [CTRL].
2) Characters with guild ranking (Guild Master, Assistant Guild Master, Battle Master) may use special Siege skills:
a) Each rank has own set of skills.
b) To enable skill, the character must have certain amount of kills.
c) To activate skill, player should press [SHIFT]+[Right Mouse Button]

Basic Policy



1)The alliance under the invading/defending team will automatically be sorted into each invading/defending team.


2)Attacking your own troops is possible by pressing Ctrl key,but beware as some of the spells and skills will cause damage to your own allies even in normal attack mode.

The Castle Gates


The castle gates have defensive power/durability (HP) and can only be attacked during the siege.
In this server there are no Potions of Bless and Potions of Soul, so you can't attack with them.


When an alliance guild wins the castle while the castle gates are destroyed, the gates will not be restored until the siege is over.

The castle gates can be upgraded up to a maximum of 3 stages of defensive power and durability. (upgrading and restoring is not possible during the battle)



The castle gates are divided into 3 parts; with an outer part, a middle part, and an inner part It is possible to penetrate the castle even if only one gate is destroyed.

Guardian Statues


When all 4 statues inside the castle have been destroyed, the shield blocking entrance into the Dragon Tower vanish.
Only the players of the defending team can enter through the shield.
Recover HP/MP/AG around the guardian statue and recovery rate can be upgraded up to maximum of 3 stages.
The Guardian statues have defensive power/durability (HP) and can only be attacked during the siege.
In this server there are no Potions of Bless and Potions of Soul, so you can't attack with them.
Guardian statues can be upgraded up to a maximum of 3 stages of defensive power and durability. (upgrading and restoring is not possible during the battle)





Destroy 4 Guardian statues to proceed to the Dragon tower.

Guard towers


Guard towers play a role in protecting the Guardian statues once the battle starts.
Guard towers attack invading parties around them.
Guard towers can be attacked just like Guardian statues or Castle gates.



Siege weapons


 

Catapults are 2 for every side, attackers and defenders, they are very useful because they can cause very big damage

The siege weapons are placed at the respective fields of the invading and defending teams.
Click siege weapons to view the menu to select the attacking location.
Players can view the location being attacked when using the siege weapons.

Dragon Tower




This huge tower is located at top of the castle. The tower is divided into a shielded entrance and an upper floor.

The upper floor of the Dragon Tower houses a pedestal with the official seal of the lord of the castle.

The entrance to the Dragon tower is protected by the shield which blocks the invading team's forces.

To penetrate the Dragon tower all 4 Guardian statues need to be destroyed.

Winning conditions:


The Siege is won by the guild which has registered official Seal before the time runs out.

After the Seal:


1) The Siege continues until the time runs out.
2) Any other invading team (including ex-defending) may still take over the Castle after successful Seal registration.

Registering the official Seal:


1) In order to get access to Chamber (inside) all 4 Guardian Statues must be destroyed.


2) After entering the Throne Room both of the switches at the Chamber (inside) must be activated.


Notes:
a) If the character that activated the switch leaves the area marked on the floor (or dies) the switch deactivates.
b) The Switch may be activated only by the battle masters of the main alliance guild
c) To deactivate Crown Shield both Switches must be activated

3) After the Crown Shield is deactivated, the attacking Guild Master must start registering the Official Seal by clicking on the Crown image. It takes 30 seconds to register it.


Notes:
a) Only the Guild Master for main Alliance guild of attacking team can register the official seal in the pedestaland only when both switches are activated.
b) Seal registration (sealing) takes 30 seconds.
c) If the sealing Guild Master moves or is moved (or dies), the seal will be canceled and must be started again.
d) The guild with their official seal registered at the end of the siege will become the lords of the castle.

4) Once Seal Registration is complete, the invading and defending alliances switch positions.
5) Once those alliances switch positions, the new defending team is warped into castle, and new invading team warped out of there.

Benefits of having the Castle:


1) In this server the winning guild get reward just once a week after the siege. There are no monsters in Land of Trials, the winner only takes rewards.
2) Your Guild Sign Will Be On The Flags On Your Castle

Command system:


For the guild members of invading/defending teams, there's a display of the siege status (mini map) at the lower right side of their screen.
It displays the player's location, command status of guild master, deployment plan of the castle and status of the castle.
It will be displayed when the siege warfare starts and it will disappear when the siege warfare is over or moving to a non-battle area.
You can turn the display On/Off by pressing the [Tab] Key.
Command functions are only given to the guild masters of invading/defending teams and it's possible to command the attacking location to the guild members by using these functions.
The guild master can command the siege status to the guild members by using attack commands (sword icon: Attack), shield commands (shield icon: Defense), standby commands (flag icon: Stop).
A total of 7 groups can be commanded from this menu.

Potion of Bless and Potion of Soul



In this server there are no Potions of Bless and Potions of Soul.

Castle Operation


The lord of the castle can collect the taxes from using the stores and other systems operated by the corresponding cluster. Adjusting tax rate and settings for castle operations is done through the senior NPC located in Valley Of Loren 153 19.

Role : Maintenance and upgrading of 6 castle gates and 4 guardian statues, tax adjustment

Repairing/upgrading is not possible during the siege.

Tax adjustment is applicable starting from 2 hours after the siege till the next siege.

To check the status of the castle gate click the Senior NPC

Tax Adjustment


The lord of a castle can charge/collect tax from all the merchant NPCs.
Adjust tax rate through the senior NPC.

Tax adjustment menu

Apply the adjust tax rate details clicking the "Apply" button

Collected tax will be displayed at the senior NPC and only the lord of a castle can make a withdrawal.

Tax adjustment setting:
Tax adjustment can only be changed 2 hours after the siege till the next siege.
Tax adjustment is divided into Chaos Goblin's tax rate and NPC's tax rate.
Only the lord of the castle can adjust the tax rate.
The tax rate will be applied when the "Apply" button is clicked and new tax rates will be added to existing item prices.
Collected taxes will be displayed as a remaining zen of the senior NPC.
NPC who are not affected by taxes are: Sebina, Marlon, Guild master, Charon, Messenger of Archangel
Only the lord of the castle is allowed to withdraw taxes.
Allowed withdrawal per transactions is set at 99,999,999 zen.
The cost of maintenance/upgrades will be deducted from the castle lords inventory.

Spearman and Archer


Because the invading team would be bigger than the defending team with 3 united guilds, the defending team has the option to use Soldier NPCs.

The defending team can purchase the Soldier NPCs in the castle. They can choose between an archer-type soldier or spearman from Lumen the Barmaid.

Soldier NPCs can also be purchased through the merchant NPC of the invading/defending teams.

You can purchase them in a NPC Lumen the Barmaid for 1,500,000 zen.

The Spearman and the Archer are NPC's used for Caste Siege Warfare, you can't control them, you cant equip them, you cant RIDE them.

Only the Guild Master and the Assist. Guild Master can deploy them.

A maximum of 100 soldiers can be deployed at any time. Drop the soldiers at the desired location where they will be summoned as soon as the siege starts. They will start attacking the invading team as soon as they are summoned.
